This Privacy Policy explains how NowMetrix collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use our website, dashboard, tracking script, APIs, MCP server, connectors, documentation, trial forms, subscriptions, and related services (together, the "Service").

NowMetrix is provided by Rüegg Internet Services, Zürichstrasse 242, 8122 Binz, Switzerland ("NowMetrix", "we", "us", or "our"). For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, we act as controller for data collected through our own website, accounts, billing, and support. For analytics data collected on a customer's website, our role may depend on the customer's setup and applicable law.

1. Data We Collect

Account, Trial, and Contact Data

When you contact us, start a trial, create an account, subscribe, or request support, we may collect information such as your name, company name, business email address, website URL, message content, billing details, plan information, and communication history.

Service and Usage Data

We may collect technical and usage information when you use our website, dashboard, documentation, APIs, or other parts of the Service. This may include IP address, browser type, browser version, device type, operating system, pages visited, timestamps, diagnostic data, log data, and actions taken inside the Service.

Analytics Data Processed for Customers

The NowMetrix tracking script is designed for realtime, privacy-conscious analytics. For analytics tracking on customer websites, we do not use cookies to identify visitors. The data processed may include:

• a salted hash derived from the IP address and browser user agent;
• the page URL;
• the referrer URL;
• source and campaign information where available;
• country code derived from infrastructure or CDN data;
• whether the device is desktop or mobile;
• the timestamp of the request.

We do not store raw IP addresses for analytics tracking. Raw request-level analytics data is deleted after a maximum of 24 hours and is not copied to long-term backup systems. Aggregated metrics may be retained to provide reporting and historical views without identifying individual visitors.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The NowMetrix analytics script itself does not rely on cookies to provide realtime analytics to customers.

Our own website, dashboard, and account areas may use necessary cookies or similar technologies for login, security, session management, preferences, language selection, fraud prevention, and service operation. Where optional cookies or similar technologies are used and consent is required, we will ask for consent or provide controls as required by law.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

• review trial requests and deliver setup information;
• create and manage accounts;
• provide realtime analytics, dashboards, APIs, MCP access, and connectors;

• Support and communication records may be retained as needed to handle requests and maintain business records.
• Security logs may be retained for a limited period to detect abuse and protect the Service.

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. There is no common industry standard for responding to those signals. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in a separate way.

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect the Service against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, and disclosure.
